Ukrainian Refugee Fundraiser

Help bring Anna & Liza to Idaho!

  • Help Anna & Liza Come to Boise!

  • Just a few months ago, Aleksey Galitsyn, his wife Anna Pitman-Galitsyna and their daughter Liza (10) were living peacefully in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

Since February 24th, life as they knew it has been turned upside-down.  They were forced to flee. Anna and Liza were able to escape from Ukraine. Aleksey, as an able-bodied adult man, was not able to join them. He remains in Ukraine.

For the past few months Anna and Liza have been moving from place to place, across Europe. They are currently in Italy with one of Anna's friends.

The Galitsyns have cousins in our community, Alex and Sveta Eidelman, who have graciously offered to host them.

They are now able to come to the USA (thanks to the new Uniting for Ukraine program) and we hope to provide them peace, love and stability for the near future.

While the Eidelmans have generously offered to host them in their home for the time being, there are still a lot of other expenses.

We are launching a fundraiser to cover the costs of their travel to the USA and immediate resettlement costs. Our initial goal is to raise $5000 immediately. Once they arrive, we will assess what additional funds may be necessary.

Anna and Liza are very joyful people. They love nature, friends, and creativity. Liza loves to sing.

Anna has a diploma in English language arts and was working as a translator for the past 20 years, with high hopes of continuing doing that.

The picture below is from their last trip in Ukraine before the war started.
