Project Update
December 5, 2022

Since our groundbreaking in July our workforce has been productively busy. We are adding about 2,000 square feet on the south side of our Chabad Jewish Center to include a mikvah facility and a commercial kosher kitchen, significant additions to the community.

We have accomplished considerable site work:

  • Demo work
  • Grading
  • Updating utilities
  • Installing ADA-compliant ramps
  • Installing a dry well to accommodate flooding
  • Digging into the basement to create a new stairwell and to tie in the addition to our existing building

Building work has begun:

  • Poured concrete for new ramps, walkways and walls
  • Poured the foundation, the mikvah and the rainwater system
  • Took out flooring and some walls
  • Remodeling the old kitchen
  • Creating a conference room and library
  • Tore up the back yard and installed a large state of the art playground and basketball court. A pickleball court is also planned.

The new electric, HVAC and plumbing rough-ins should be completed the first week of December. Framing will follow.

We are excited to bring these improvements to our community. Please let me know if you would like a tour. I am happy to share our progress with you!
