Lieutenant Governor Brad Little will join Rabbi Mendel Lifshitz in lighting the Gem State's largest menorah Thursday night, December 13, in Boise. That lighting will take place at the intersection of Capitol Blvd. and Myrtle St at 7 pm.

Rabbi Lifshitz says the menorah represents not only the celebration of Chanukah, but it also represents religious freedom, and light overpowering darkness. Everyone is welcome to come see Lt. Governor Little kindle the first flame, and hear a brief message from him. After the menorah lighting, latkes (traditional potato pancakes) will be served.

Hear more of the history behind Chanukah from Rabbi Lifshitz in an interview he did on the set of Good Morning Idaho.
